Binding and Banishing Magick

There are times in each Witch’s life when there are certain things that we need to bind or banish.  To bind is to stop somebody or something from a certain act of harm (either to themselves or to others).  Banishing something is a way of removing it from you life.  You must exercise caution when doing either, and make sure that you are not performing said act for personal gain or to control another person.  Use your best judgment.  I have included several different spells and rites here for you to choose from.

THE SPELLS AND RITES

A Charm To Bind An Enemy

Gather cobwebs from your house. Place them all a-tangle upon a black cloth. Procure then, a fly, recently dead, and set it down upon a mass of webs. These words should then be written down on paper:
‘North, South, East, West
Spider’s web shall bind him best
East, West, North, South
Hold his limbs and stop his mouth.
Seal his eyes and choke his breath,
Wrap him round with ropes of death.’
Fold the paper 4 times and wrap it, the fly and webs in the black cloth, forming a small bag. This should then be bound up with the end of a long cord and suspended from a hook in a dark corner of the home. Do not disturb it, but let it hang until it is thickly covered in dust. Then take it down and bury it in the earth to work its influence in perpetual secrecy.

 A Magick Candle Binding

Get a large white candle, the kind that drips wax, and set it up on a tray. Affix to it a photograph or other image of the person you wish to bind. Make a ring of sea salt around it. Make a second ring with protective herbs. Some dried rosemary from the kitchen will not break your bank. Or use sage if you like. Fill the rest of the tray with images that represent what you are binding the person from: pictures of your family, keys to your house, legal documents, whatever. If the problem is too complex for images, write what the person is bound from on slips of paper and place them around the candle. Maybe they are gossiping and making your life a misery. Write it down and explain what you want stopped. Papyrus, or good thick paper made from cotton or linen work best for this. I have pinched the first blank page of old books at sales! Use red ink if you are angry, purple if you are sad. Wrap the candle and the image with black thread (use cotton thread or linen or even wool, if possible). Invoke Isis and “Linda the Binder With Linen Thread.” Say out loud what you are binding the person from. Light the candle and leave it burn until the wax begins to drip over the thread and the image. Burn it every day for a week, until the image is thick with wax. Use this as a meditation device to direct your will to binding the person. You will have direct results if you have a just reason for this spell. You can also bind a person from harming themselves.

 A Spell To Bind Bullies

Do this spell at midnight on a Saturday of a waning moon. It will not hurt your bully, it will just make them leave you alone.
Ingredients:
·         Black thread
·         Black pen
·         Piece of paper
·         Empty glass jar
·         3 black candles
Set the candles in a big triangle shape, big enough so that you can sit in the middle. Light the candles. Write the bully’s name on the paper, and draw an “X” over it. Fold it three times. Say:
‘I bind you (name)
So that you cannot hurt me anymore
Both physically and emotionally.
Get out of my life, leave me alone.
I bind you (name) I bind you.’
Then tie the thread around the folded paper, and pop it in the jar. Screw on the lid. Snuff out the candles. The next day, bury the jar off your property or you can hide it in a closet where it will not be found. If the black candles you used are small enough, you can put them in the jar (do this at the end of the spell, not after you have screwed the lid on). If not, burn them later until there is nothing left of them.

 Banish Grief

This spell is to help rid yourself of that terrible feeling of grief.
 Ingredients:
·         1 bowl of water
·         3 tablespoons of sea salt
·         1 Smokey quartz gemstone
Hold the quartz in your power hand. Visualize the grief transferring from you, to your hand, into the quartz. Whilst doing so, say:
‘Banishing stone,
Fill yourself with my grief,
So that I may feel joy again,
So be it, Blessed Be!’
Stir the mixture of sea salt in the bowl of water counterclockwise then add the smokey quartz. Swish the stone around 3 times in a counterclockwise motion. Leave the stone in the water for a few minutes, then take the stone outside and safely throw it as far as you can away from yourself.

 Banishing An Unwanted Admirer

Cast this spell three days or nights in a row when the moon is waning. If you can’t get your hands on fresh vervain leaves, use the dried ones that should be available at a local herbalist. You’ll need about a handful of either. This spell is best cast outside. If this is not possible, it can be done indoors, but as it involves a fire, it must be done with care:
Ingredients:
·         A well-stoked fire
·         Vervain leaves
Consecrate the wood or coal before lighting the fire. When it is burning fiercely, throw the vervain onto the flames, calling out the name of the person you want out of your life as loudly and with as much passion as you can muster. Follow the name with these words, which should also be said with passion:
‘I need you not.
I want you not.
Leave my life now
And come back never
And it harm none, so be it.’
Spend a minute or two visualizing the person’s face in the fire’s smoke and watch it waft away from you forever.

 Banishing Bad Feelings Spell

 Ingredients:
·         1 white candle
·         3 blue candles
·         Rose oil
Light the four candles, and place them in a circle around you, the white candle directly in front. Sit cross-legged, and, rubbing your hands in the rose oil, together, chant this verse:
 ‘Anxiety, depression, emotions be
I seek to cast out thee
And bid you set me free
From anxiety, depression, emotions be.’
Blow out the candles, saving the white one for last.

Banishing Spell

 Ingredients:
·         Pen
·         Black candle
·         Knife or pin to carve with
·         4 small pieces of paper
Get four small pieces of paper and on each write the person’s name or the name of whatever it is you need to banish. On the opposite side draw a pentacle. Carve the same word and the pentacle on a black candle also. Do what you would normally do as far as visualizing this person or thing being drawn away from you and ask your angels for help also. Light the candle. Take the four pieces of paper and burn one, saying:
‘I banish (name) with the power of Fire. So mote it be.’
Bury one in some dirt, saying:
‘I banish (name) with the power of Earth. So mote it be.’
Flush one down the toilet, saying:
‘I banish (name) with the power of Water. So mote it be.’
Then tear one into little pieces and throw it out your window, saying:
‘I banish (name) with the power of Wind. So mote it be.’
Let your black candle burn down.
Note: It is really best to use VERY small pieces of paper, because you are going to be littering, after all. Also, if you prefer to work outside, you can obviously use a stream instead of your toilet. It really doesn’t matter how you do this, but it IS important that your intention be clear.

Banishing Spell For Good Or Evil

This spell can be used for a variety of banishing needs: banishing illnesses, bad habits, negativity, etc.
 Ingredients:
·         Business size envelope
·         A slip of paper that will fit in the envelope
·         Appropriate herbs (for healing: eucalyptus, rosemary, sandalwood, juniper, thyme willow; for banishing: basil, asafetida, valerian, black pepper, patchouli, agrimony, acacia, cypress)
·         Appropriately colored candles (for healing: green, blue; for banishing: black; for fast action: red)
·         Appropriate oil for anointing the candles (for healing: eucalyptus, rosemary, sandalwood; for banishing: basil, cypress, acacia, frankincense)
·         Appropriate incense
·         Charcoal for the incense (if necessary)
·         A disposable pen in black ink
·         Carbon or flash paper
At the full moon anoint and charge the candles with the essential oil and bless and charge the herbs you are going to use. Surround the base of the candle with the appropriate herbs and light the candles, cast your circle or otherwise prepare for magic as you normally would.
Cut a human figure out of the carbon paper (designed appropriately as specifically male for men, female for women) that will fit inside the envelope. Of course, if you need to, you can use a larger envelope but the business size is generally sufficient.
Lay the figure on the slip of paper between the candles, charge and name it as the individual and with intent write on the figure what you are working on. Such as, if the spell is to heal an illness you might simply write whatever the illness is, for example, “cold/flu”. You might also write it over the appropriate body part, such as if it is a head cold, write it on the head. If it’s to overcome an addiction to cigarettes you might write “cigarettes” on the chest (or wherever you identify with smoking) and even add a cigarette in the envelope. Be creative with it.
Charge both the paper and the doll with intent, by the elements, etc., and place them and some of the herbs in the envelope and seal it up. Lay it between the candles and allow them to burn until half gone charging and meditating on the purpose of the spell all the while. Store the candles somewhere secure to use later when finishing the spell. Then place the envelope under the mattress of the “ill” person or recipient of the spell if possible. You may also, if it is not possible to put it with the person, place it behind a picture of the person in a frame; inside of a book they gave you, etc, you can also include nail and hair clippings if you like or what you will.
Let this stay undisturbed for as long as needed but it should not exceed one full lunar cycle. When the magic has run its course and the deed is accomplished, or when the cycle is done, light the remainder of the candle and set your circle or prepare as you did before. Then, open the envelope and put everything on your altar, between the candles in a fire proof bowl. First, burn the slip of paper with the writing along with the herbs and the hair, nails, etc, if you included them in the spell, then burn the doll. As the doll burns it will turn from black to white (great sympathetic stuff here). As you burn these things be sure to keep focused on the intent (such as banishing the illness). Visualize the person whole and healthy, no longer addicted, etc. Scrape all of the ashes back into the envelope and use some of the candle wax to seal it up again. You can carve symbols in the wax if you like.
Be sure to get rid of EVERYTHING which you used with this ritual (candle nubs, any remaining bits of herbs, the pen, etc., you should not have to get rid of the incense or oil as you should have used it anyhow). Bury or otherwise dispose of the envelope, far away from anyone’s home or property.
*Flash paper (the kind magician’s use) is great to use for the paper, just be sure the paper is safely in the dish before lighting it. This shows the problem properly vanishing in a flash and the doll burns removing the black and turning to white.
**Use extreme caution with Asafoetida, just a whiff of this herb has been known to cause vomiting, better to substitute valerian.
It’s a deadly little number so be sure about casting it as what goes out comes back times three.

 Banishing Spell To Stop Harm

This will protect without causing the person any harm. It is not a dark spell, but a very potent protective one. You may use a different oil if you wish to use as a banishing oil. Rosemary may be substituted for Rue.
Ingredients:
·         1 black taper candle (gender depends on who you are trying to bind)
·         Nail
·         Black cloth
·         A large piece of black cloth
·         Red ribbon
·         Cotton
·         Felt
·         Needle and thread
·         Banishing oil (see below)
·         Loose tobacco
·         A small mirror that can stand by itself
·         Hair or fingernails (if possible)
If you can obtain hair or fingernails from the person or a picture, you can use it in this spell. Fold the felt in half and cut out a rough shape of the person you want to bind. Make the figure large enough so that you will be able to stuff it after you have sewn it together. Sew the pieces of the poppet together, leaving a hole through which you can stuff the poppet. Fill it with cotton and tobacco, and if you have the hair or nail clippings of the person, add those to it. Once it is filled, sew the opening closed. If you have a picture of the person, staple it or sew it to the front of the poppet. Next, carve the name of the person onto the black candle with the nail and add these runes: Thuraz, Isa, Eihwas, a dark filled in circle to represent the dark moon, bars like you will see in a jail, and a widdershins (anticlockwise) spiral. Anoint the candle and the poppet with the oil. Cast a circle, invoke the elements, God or Goddess you are working with. Light the altar candles. Light the black candle and adjust the mirror so that flame is reflected in the glass. Hold the poppet out in front of you and say:
‘Creature of cloth thou art,
Creature of flesh and blood you be.
I name you (name of the person you are binding).
No more shall you do me harm.
No more shall you repeat false tales.
No more shall you interfere in my life, nor in the loves of my loved ones.
By the power of the Gods and by my will,
So more it be.’
Draw an invoking pentagram over the poppet. Now take the ribbon and begin to wrap the poppet like a mummy, leaving no space unwrapped. Say:
‘I bind your feet from bringing harm to me.
I bind your hands from reaching out to harm me.
I bind your mouth from spreading false tales to harm me.
I bind your mind from sending energy to harm me.
If you do so continue, let all negative energy be cast and reflected directly at you!’
Tie off the ribbon and hold the poppet in front of the mirror while you visualize all negative energy this person has sent to you being reflected back at them. Wrap the poppet in the black cloth and tie another length of ribbon. Say:
‘Great Mother, I have bound this person
From harming me and my loved ones.
By the powers of three times three
By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea
I fix this spell, then set it free
Twill give no harm to return to me
As I will, So mote it be!’
Let the candle burn out while the poppet sits at its base, then take the poppet and the remains of the candle far from your home and bury it deep in the ground or toss it in the ocean and walk away without looking back.

 Banishment Spell

This is a spell for love gone wrong, for ending a personal, family or business relationship that you no longer wish to be in. It is a fire spell. To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person (photograph, poppet, etc.) Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing or a personal object will also do. Put everything into a fireproof container-iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever-and set fire to it as you perform the spell. Add the photograph or a piece of paper with the person’s name on it if you have trouble getting the fire going. It should make a very satisfactory blaze that reduces to ashes. The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain. Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry. Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person: gifts, letters, photographs, etc. It is especially important to get rid of jewelry. Move house if you have to. Be careful with this spell. It’s permanent, so don’t use it unless you really mean forever. It’s also powerful. The person I used it against had a pregnant wife, and their child was born with a hole in its heart.
‘By the crimson and the gold
By basilisk and bloodstone
By the garlic in the fields
By the poppies and what they yield
Invisibly I make my shield
To detect thee and deflect thee
And keep thy harm from me.
By dragon’s blood and salamander’s
By horses when their hooves strike sparks
By the dragon breathing flames
From the Book of Life I erase thy names
I cut the cords and unlock the chains
I sever all the ties by which we were bound
And with impenetrable walls myself I surround
Against thy power and its source
Against thy evil and its source
Vesta, Pele, Lilith
Kali Kali Kali
I banish thee forever from me
And any harm from thee to me
Doubles back and tables turned
Thou shalt by thyself be burned
Lilith, Vests, Pele
Kali Ma Kali Ma
By the power of three times three
I banish thee, I banish thee, and I banish thee
I am set free
So mote it be.’

Basic Magick Binding II

You can just write their name and wrap it in a black cord, ribbon, thread, yarn, with intention, or freeze it in an ice cube tray.

Binding Of Lovers

 Ingredients:
·         2 black candles
·         2 white candles
·         1 couple of 2 people who have great feelings for each other
Light the candles and make both hold one. Say this chant:
 ‘Dark light,
Shining bright,
Let these lovers
Show their might,
Even in their afterlife,
So mote it be!’
When done with the chant, make them each pour some of their wax into each other’s candles. This spell will bind these lovers forever, and upon death their spirits will remain a couple.

Binding Someone Annoying Spell

Take a piece of paper and write the name of the person that is to be bound on a 3” x 3” piece of paper, using a black ink pen or a pencil. While you do this, visualize the face of the person in your mind. When you have written the name, cross it with an inverted pentacle (a 5 pointed star within a circle). Fold the paper twice and take a rubber band and tie the paper with it. Raise it to your temple and chant the following three times:
 ‘To be protected from you,
This magick charm I will do,
With these words I bind thee,
For you to let me be,
To be protected from your harm,
I now seal this charm.’
Now place the paper on your right shoe and slam your foot on the ground nine times (it doesn’t have to be so loud that everyone hears it). As you slam it the ninth time, say:
‘So mote it be.’

Binding Someone Dangerous

To bind a criminal or someone who intends to do harm. To bring someone to justice.
 Best performed on Saturday.
Ingredients:
·         A poppet
·         Black candle
·         Myrrh incense
·         Salt water
·         Red ribbon
Collect your materials, including a poppet you have made to represent the person in question. Cast a circle. Light a black candle and burn myrrh incense. Sprinkle the poppet with salt water, saying:
‘Blessed be, thou creature made of art.
By art made, by art changed.
Thou art not cloth (or wax, whatever)
But flesh and blood.
I name thee (name of person)
Thou art he/she, between the worlds, in all worlds,
So mote it be.’
Hold the poppet and imagine it enmeshed is silver net, binding the person. Tie the poppet up firmly with red ribbon, binding all parts of it that could possible do harm. Charge it, saying:
‘By air and earth,
By water and fire,
So be you bound,
As I desire.
By three and nine,
Your power I bind.
By moon and sun,
My will be done.
Sky and sea
Keep harm from me.
Cord go round,
Power be bound,
Light revealed,
Now be sealed.’
Release the powers and open the circle. Bury the poppet at the time of the waning moon, far from your home, under a heavy rock. Go home and have some juice and do a grounding and clearing meditation.

 Binding Spell For General Use

Take a piece of light-weight cardboard and draw images and write words on it to represent the evils that you wish to bind…examples being a man with an X crossing out his heart to show it is closed, words like Greed, Irresponsibility, Disrespect, etc…Then crumple the cardboard up into a loose ball.
Take a piece of black yarn and wind it around the cardboard twenty-one times. With each time you loop the string around the cardboard, say one line of the following chant:
‘With the thread of the crimes
Of your own design
I bind your evil
Three times seven times
I bind you from behind
I bind you from before
That you’ll hurt my people
Never ever more
I bind you from the Left
I bind you from the Right
I bind you by Day
I bind you by Night
I bind you from below
I bind you from above
That you may ever know
The laws of life and love
I bind you with your own
Good conscience within
And so let this magic
Unfold
And spin…'
Tie off the ends of the yarn with three sturdy knots to seal the spell. When done with this, burn the unwrapped images and words in a loud, strong, crackling fire. Chant these words until it is thoroughly burned:
‘Goddess of darkest night
Send our troubles all to flight
Burn them in thy sacred fires
And replace them with our hearts’ desires!’
Once the image is burned and all negativity removed, do a positive visualization to replace it…for example, people laughing and dancing in rainbows, etc. Be sure that when you do this you cast a strong protective circle around yourself and all participants before you begin.

 Binding Spell I

You can use a white candle and thread and charge your candle with protection (using protection oil), or you can use a black candle and black thread, charging the candle with binding negative forces (using all-purpose oil).
Take your candle, anoint and charge it. Light the candle and incense (we used frankincense and myrrh). Write on the twig all the negative things that you wish to bind from your life. Take the thread and wind it around a twig while chanting:
‘Wound and bound, wound and bound,
So the words of will resound,
Holding, binding, clasping firm,
This evil shall not return!’
When you are finished, place the twig into a wooden box, or bury it in the earth, or burn it. Since it has no person’s name, you will not need to undo the spell.

 Binding Spell II

 Ingredients:
·         Black figure candle
·         Pieces of cord
·         A valid motive
 ‘By Air and Earth,
By Water and Fire,
So be ye bound, as I desire.’
Tie the cord around the candle’s feet.
‘By Three and Nine,
Your power I bind,
By Moon and Sun,
My Will be done.’
Tie cord around the waist of candle.
‘Sky and Sea,
Keep Harm from me,
Cord go round,
Power be bound.’
Tie cord around candle’s neck.
 ‘Light revealed,
NOW BE SEALED.’
Snuff candle.
‘So mote it be.’

Binding Spell III

 Ingredients:
·         Black ribbon for burning
·         Symbol of the person you wish to bind
·         Matches or lighter
·         Cauldron or heat proof bowl
·         Bowl of water
·         Yourself
Cast your circle and your invocations, then take the symbol of the person you wish to bind, and wrap a black ribbon around it (do not overlap ribbon if you plan to rip instead of burn). Burn it in your cauldron or rip it. While doing so, chant these words three times:
‘(Name), by the Lady and Lord, you are bound, and incapable of doing harm against (anyone or anything you choose).’
 After said three times, say:
 ‘So mote it be.’
Then place the ashes or the ripped quantity in the bowl of water for the person to be cleansed.

 Black Art Spell

To stop an enemy from bringing harm, here is what you must do, procure a special oil, of Dragon’s blood and rue. Add to it a pinch of poppy, nightshade and some thyme, add to that three tiny drops of some bitter wine. Anoint a black candle with your victim’s name and seal it with an “X”, then chant these words most carefully, to send forth this darksome hex:
‘Darksome powers of the night,
Gather round my candle’s flame,
Send my enemy in shaded flight,
Send my enemy away in shame.’
Say this chant 13 times, on the darkest moon, The Old Ones then will hear your plight and will grant your boon.

Bury And Banish

If there is someone in your life that you would like to not be involved with anymore, this is the spell for you. All you need is a black sheet of paper. Black construction paper is likely the easiest to find and will work fine.
Write the person’s name in the middle, and it doesn’t matter if you can’t actually read it-it just has to be there. Fold the paper up as small as you can. Take it outside and bury it in the ground. Once it’s buried, say the following out loud:
‘Into the ground
You can’t be found
You’re not around
I can’t hear your sound.’
Step over the place you’ve buried the paper, and that person will soon fade from your life.

 Candle Spell To Stop Harassment

 Ingredients:
·         Small piece of parchment paper
·         Brown candle (an image candle, if you can)
·         Pen
·         Honey
·         Knife, pin, or your athame
 Timing: During the waning moon.
Use a brown candle (an image candle, if you can) to represent the person who is harassing you. Write the person’s name on the front and back of the candle. On a small piece of parchment paper, write:
‘From now on, (name) will say nothing but sweet words about me and to me.
By the power of Aradia, So Mote It Be!’
Put a drop of honey in the middle of the paper and roll it into a ball. Heat a knife, pin, or your athame, make a gash in the candle (in its mouth, if it’s an image candle) and stuff the paper ball into it. Let the candle burn a little while every night for an odd number of nights, to a maximum of nine nights. Throw the remnants into flowing water, but save some candle drippings or ash to sprinkle in the path of your oppressor.

 Charm Of The Beast Spell

 Ingredients:
·         Angelica
·         Mugwort
·         3 hairs of an imposing beast
·         Black cloth
·         Frankincense oil (or myrrh oil)
Mix the mugwort and angelica in equal parts. Add to it the 3 hairs and bind together in a black cloth. Add a few drops of the oil onto the cloth. Then say:
‘He who is strong, he who is mighty,
Lend thine power to this charm
Demons turn on your heels and run.’
Draw over it a pentagram and the charms of banishment. Burn the mixture to drive away the spirits that ail you. Burn it in the home or room that you wish to exorcise. Bury it before your doorstep and no demon shall touch nor enter. Wear the charm or hide it in the roof to ensure safety against all ills.

Jar Spell To Stop A Trouble Maker

Write the name of the person on a piece of paper, fold it twice. Take a lime and cut it twice, once diagonally and once horizontally, but don’t cut it all the way into four pieces. Place the paper or parchment inside the lime and hold it together with two long steel nails. Place the lime into a clean glass jar and put into it: some ash, salt, and vinegar and screw the lid on tight. The ash and salt are supposed to thwart their efforts to cause you trouble of any kind, and the vinegar and lime should sour their own affairs at the same time.

 Keep Away

This is one of the most basic binding spells, best used to keep someone away who is bothering you. It doesn’t really stop any specific action, just keeps them out of your path.
Ingredients:
·         A long piece of black yarn
·         A piece of cardboard
·         Black marker
Cut out the rough shape of a person from the cardboard and write the person’s name on it in big letters with the marker. If you don’t know their name, this spell won’t be as effective but you can still give it a shot. Write how you know them instead (like: “weird guy on bus”).
Start chanting the following words, while you wrap the cardboard around and around with black yarn.
‘I bind you left,
I bind you right,
I bind you now,
Stay out of my sight.
I bind you day,
I bind you night,
I bind you now,
With all my might.’
Keep repeating the words and wrapping until the little cardboard person is well covered up. Tie three knots to secure the yarn. You can then bury the charm outside, or just prop it up on your altar. If you do that, then repeat the chant each day to keep it working.

 Knot Spell

To rid yourself of problems or a troublesome situation.
Take cotton yarn in the appropriate color of the problem (green for money, red for love, etc.) and pour out your fears and problems into the yarn. Tie it up in knots to symbolize how “tied-up” you feel. Take it outside and let the wind blow it away along with your negativity. Go back inside and take a ritual bath or shower cleansing. This is best done during the Full Moon.

Magick Binding

The purpose of this spell is to rid yourself of the negative energies of someone who is mentally or emotionally abusing you. If done properly, it will not harm the object of the spell nor will it affect his or her daily life in any way. It will simply make the person powerless to mentally or emotionally harm you.
Ingredients:
·         Small cloth doll (leave the head unstitched until you are ready to begin the ritual)
·         Needle and thread
·         Some personal item from the person you want to bind (fingernail clippings, hair, handwriting sample, etc.)
·         Black ribbon
·         Black candle
·         Cauldron or other fireproof container
·         Sterilized needle
·         Paper
·         Pen
·         One candle at each quarter (optional)
 Ritual:
Call the quarters-I like to use candles at each quarter to form a circle of fire for extra protection. Light the black candle. Concentrating deeply on the person you are binding, place the personal object inside the head of the doll and sew it shut. Tie the black ribbon around the poppet’s head, signifying the binding of that person. Say:
‘With harm to none, my will be done
I hereby bind you (name of person)
Your words cannot harm me
Your thoughts cannot harm me
You cannot harm me.’
Continue chanting this or something like it until you feel power surging through you. Visualize the person helpless to slander or verbally or mentally abusing you while you are chanting.
Now, to bind the spell:
If you have a sigil or Craft name, sign it on the small piece of paper. If not, sign your own full name. If others are working the ritual with you, they too should sign the paper. With the sterilized needle, prick one of your fingers and put a small drop of blood over their signatures (using a different needle, of course). Fold the paper, light it on the fire and drop it into the cauldron, (which should be on a heat-proof surface!) Meditate on the flames until the paper completely burns away. If you are working with a group, join hands at this point and feel the power surging around the circle as the spell is bound. Ground and center. Release the circle. Thank the Goddess and God for their protection and power. Bury the doll as far away from you as possible within the next few days.

Magick Binding I

Ingredients:
·         Black ribbon
·         Paper
·         Fireproof bowl
·         Bowl of water
Perform this spell during the waning moon. On a sheet of paper, write the name of the person who you wish to bind. Also, write down some negative behaviors that you would like to change to positive. Roll the paper and wrap with black ribbon, set paper on fire, and place in a fireproof bowl. Chant this until completely burned:
‘As this paper chars and burns,
All these behaviors soon will turn.’
Dump the ash into the water. Visualize it glowing with power of peace. Concentrate on your intent. Take the water and ash to a north tree at your home, and pour water and ash around the base while chanting the following three times:
‘Sink this into mother earth,
Give love and understanding birth.’
Visualize how things will be different.
‘So mote it be!’

Magick Black Cord Binding

Use this spell to bind someone from hurting others and themselves. ONLY do this if there are no other options available to you.
Ingredients:
·         A photo of the person harming
·         Black cord-long enough to tie 3 knots in
First of all sit and cast a circle. Explain to the universe what you are about to do and ask if it’s the right thing. Think about how the person is hurting others and let the anger build up. Than all at once say loudly:
‘(Person’s name) I bind you from hurting other (or yourself)!’
Then quickly tie a knot tightly in the cord. Repeat the process three times or as many times as you feel is necessary. When done, say:
‘Three times three, I bind you (person’s name)!’
Hide the cord and photo in a safe place where the knots never come undone. You don’t really need a photo, but it helps make the magic stronger.

 Magick Mirror Banishing Spell

Use a magic mirror to capture and banish unwanted spiritual entities. This method is particularly effective for those creatures of the darkness that fear and loathe the light.
1.   On a bright, sunny day, slowly traverse the infested area, holding the mirror in your hand, tilting it and directing it so that the mirror may capture literally every square inch of the area for at least a few moments each.
2.   When you’ve finished, hold the mirror face down or wrap it in dark fabric.
3.   Immediately take the mirror outside and suddenly expose the mirror’s fact to the sun, for no more than nine seconds. Captured negativity and malevolence are burned out and destroyed. (Capturing the sun’s reflection in the mirror is potentially dangerous.)
4.   Post protective amulets in the now demon-free area.
5.   The area, the mirror, and you yourself all now require thorough spiritual cleansing.
This spell derives from Chinese tradition. The Chinese magic mirror needed for this spell is round, golden, and embellished with magickal charms and images, but you can substitute any magic mirror.

 Mirror Banishing

This spell directs someone’s vision back towards themselves, making you invisible to them. Now literally, of course. For this spell, you will need:
·         Photo or drawing of the person
·         A small mirror
·         Piece of onyx
·         A pinch of mugwort
Place the mirror flat on a table, and sprinkle a pinch of mugwort in one spot on the face of the mirror. Lay the photo face-down on the mirror so the face of the person is over the mugwort. Repeat the following words:
‘You cannot see me
You cannot hear me
You do not want me
Now let me be.’
Now set the piece of onyx on top of the photo, also over where the person’s face is (or as close as you can get since the photograph is lying upside down at this point).
Repeat the words again, and leave the items on your altar to keep this person away. For the most powerful effect, cast this banishing spell on the night of the new moon.

 Reflection Spell

This calls for casting a circle because you are using your subconscious mind, and not your conscious mind. Use a round, blessed mirror. Light patchouli incense. Smear a light coating of allspice around the outer circle, starting at the top, going in counter-clockwise position. Chant:
‘Bind this man/woman I name (name)
Bind him/her from our home and life.
Give us peace, remove the strife.
Let their will be free, as long as he/she stays away from me.
Protect our family from this day forth,
Allow (name) to never darken our door.
Reflect back now and please be quick.
Keep him/her away, if (name) breaks the spell
Make him/her hear well,
If (name) comes back here
Make (name) become violently ill.
As I have willed, so shall it be.’

Spell For Keeping A Spell From Backfiring

If a witch is sick and needs to cast a spell, he/she can bind it. This will keep the spell from backfiring and causing harm to anyone else, most importantly to his/herself.
Ingredients:
·         Sandalwood incense
·         Lavender incense
·         Thread with a color as dark as the nightly sky
The witch must procure a thread with a color as dark as the nightly sky. Light an incense of sandalwood and lavender, and as the incense fills the air, he/she must make three knots on the ribbon as he/she intones the words that follow:
‘By the Karmic Power of Three
This spell tied and knotted be
To cause no harm, nor return on me
As I will it, so must it be.’
The ribbon must be carried when casting the spell as a talisman to keep it from backfiring.

 Spell To Banish Shyness

 Ingredients:
·         A red candle (for courage)
·         A yellow candle (for adaptability)
·         A grey candle (for neutrality)
·         Incense of allspice
·         Incense of musk
·         Incense of rosemary
·         Incense dragon’s blood
·         Incense of mullein (optional)
·         An amethyst
Cast the circle and light the candles. Burn the incense and chant thrice:
‘Call of one this spell’s begun,
For courage, faith, and I are one.
Call of two this spell burns true,
For the shyness I outgrew.
For new friends ever shall come to me,
Call of three, so mote it be.’
Thank the deities you worship and close the circle. Let the candles burn out completely before removing them from the altar.

Spell To Stop Someone From Stealing

Do this spell on a Saturday ruled by Saturn and good for Justice Spells.
 Ingredients:
·         Sea salt
·         Olive oil
·         A black candle
·         Candle holder
Carve the person’s name on the candle using the pin-or if you don’t know their name, carve ‘thief’. Mix a good handful of salt with a cup of olive oil and allow the candle to soak in it for three hours. Take the candle, wipe it down and carve out the bottom so the wick is exposed. Stand the candle on its head and light the bottom wick-gaze at the flame, concentrate and say:
‘Thief your deeds are no longer tolerated
It’s time for you to stop this behavior.
By my will you shall cease
And restore in me a sense of peace.’
Let the candle burn out and if you can, bury the stub near where the person lives or where they most commonly commit their crime-otherwise bury it under a tree.

 To Banish Illness

Burn a black candle anointed with banishing and burn banishing incense. Concentrate on removing whatever the health problem may be by saying:
‘As this candle burns,
So the illness turns,
Melted like this wax,
Cut like with an ax,
Removed and banished,
All disabilities vanished,
As my word you see,
Radiant health blessed be.’
Let the candle burn until done then bury the ashes from the incense and the leftover wax from the candle.

 To Bind A Spell

Always bind your spells! Here are three simple chants to do so:
‘For the greater good of all and with harm to none,
This spell is bound, and will not be undone.
By the power of three times three,
As I do will, so mote it be.
‘By Karmic power number three,
This spell tied and knotted be,
So that its contents stay together,
And can’t harm human, beast, or weather.’
‘Now’s the time of the three times three,
This spell I bound. So mote it be.’

 Water Binding Spell

Ingredients:
·         Chalice
·         Vial of water
·         Black candle
Take a vial of water and say:
‘I bind you (name).
I bind you from (state reason for bind).
Until you learn the way to truth
This will be my will unto you
Until you understand that three times good and bane
You will forever be stuck in the bind again.
Once and when you learn from your heart
The desire of freedom will set it apart.’
Now grab the chalice and poor the water on the top, saying:
‘With this fresh resolve and my will and might,
Water shall cleanse and set your life right.’
Take the vial and lift it over the black candle and slowly guide it across to the white candle, saying:
‘Taking your own steps from dark to light,
I shall bind you until you learn what is right,
When the dead is true in name and deed
This bind will break and set you free.’
The ritual is now complete so you can thank the God and Goddess, the quarters also, and close them both, then open the circle. Now give the vial to the person that you bound and tell them that it will only break if they have learned their lesson and learned it well, and in their heart understand it is what must be followed. If it works like mine did, when the person goes through insults or makes fun of another, they will stumble on their speech or lose their voice or something like that.

Zeus Binding Spell

God: ‘I call upon Zeus, chief ruler of immortals and mortals alike, most powerful of all the Gods, who was known as the omnipotent Father Zeus, and to the Romans as Jupiter, and who punishes those who lie.’
‘Around I bind you three times three
No more bad things you’ll think of me
Around I bind you three times three
No more bad things you’ll say of me
Around I bind you three times three
No more bad things you’ll do to me
Around I bind you three times three
And if these things continue to be
Then back upon you three times three
‘Til totally vanquished you will be
By the powers of three times three
By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea
I fix this spell, then set it free
‘Twill give no harm to mine or me
As I do will, So mote it be!’

Blessed Be!
